HOW TO SPOT A SCANNABLE CARD

Our IDs card are all made per the latest requirements and versions of each state, but we do feel necessary to teach you a few tricks for spotting scannable IDs.

1. Most overused states

Avoid ordering Florida, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, or Illinois IDs. These are the most commonly ordered novelty IDs and bouncers know it. Also, don’t get the state that you live in because bouncers or bartenders look at that state IDs all day every day and even if the slightest thing is wrong with your IDs they will immediately notice.

2. IDs thickness

When you feel your real ID it is thick, like a credit card, make sure your premium scannable card is the same thickness too. Sometimes it’s worth spending a few extra bucks to make sure you have quality IDs.

Check the card’s rigidity. Scannable IDs will often have a different weight and/or thickness of real IDs. Gently squeeze the IDs to determine if the card feels right.

3. Picture

Well if your scannable IDs looks like a selfie you took Friday night before you went to the club, your IDs Is scannable. If you have shadows under your eyes or around your body, your IDs is scannable.

4. Holograms

This is probably the easiest way to identify scannable IDs. Compare security features. Holograms should flash in and out on a genuine ID. Look out for holograms that remain consistently illuminated, regardless of how much light is reflected on the card. This will indicate a scannable IDs card.

5. Signature font

A rookie mistake, the font. No one’s signature looks good on a driver’s license so if you have some Microsoft word script font signature, that’s a red flag. Do it the old-school way and sign a white sheet of printer paper and upload that, instead of trying to make it look too perfect.

6. Feel test.

Genuine IDs are not layered and are made of durable plastic. As a result, genuine IDs do not unravel or buckle. Novelty IDs are often made with inferior products and layered. Scannable IDs buckle or begin to peel apart when manipulated. Bending the edge or attempting to peel apart the IDs can improve the chances of identifying a scannable ID card.
